About the role
As our Student Worker AI & Workflow Optimization, you will work on hands-on projects that address real business challenges. You'll collaborate with colleagues across the organization to understand workflows, identify opportunities for improvement, develop AI-driven solutions, and help implement them in practice.
This is a project-based role with flexible working hours that can be combined with your studies. Workload may vary depending on business priorities and ongoing projects.
What you will do
Collaborate with both technical and non-technical colleagues to understand workflows, challenges, and requirements.
Identify opportunities to automate repetitive tasks and optimize business processes.
Research, evaluate, and test AI tools, platforms, and emerging technologies.
Develop prototypes and proof-of-concepts that demonstrate process improvements.
Implement, document, and maintain AI-driven solutions.
Create simple user guides and support colleagues in adopting new tools.
Assess business impact and recommend further enhancements.
Monitor implemented solutions and continuously identify optimization opportunities.
Example projects
Depending on priorities and business needs, you may work on projects such as:
Making technical knowledge easier to access
Build an internal AI assistant capable of searching experimental and process data and answering questions such as:
"Which material performed best, and under which processing conditions?"
Turning data into insights faster
Explore ways to automatically analyze test and process data, generate visualizations, and highlight relevant findings for our technical teams.
Automating reporting processes Develop solutions that gather information from multiple sources and transform it into clear, structured reports and documentation.
Building an AI agent to identify opportunities
Design a tool that continuously scans European funding programs, identifies opportunities relevant to everox, and automatically notifies the right colleagues.
These projects are examples only. As our organization continues to grow, new use cases and opportunities will continuously emerge.
About you
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in AI, Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Hands-on experience with AI, LLMs, automation, or software development through coursework, personal projects, internships, or previous work experience.
Comfortable working with data and translating business challenges into practical technical solutions.
Strong interest in AI, automation, and emerging technologies.
Ability to independently build and test prototypes.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good communication skills and professional proficiency in English.
Nice-to-have's: Experience or familiarity with one or more of the following:
Python
APIs and system integrations
Microsoft Power Platform and/or Microsoft Copilot
Large Language Models (LLMs) and prompt engineering
AI agents
Git and GitHub
Data visualization
Don't worry if you don't have experience with all of these technologies. We're primarily looking for someone who enjoys learning, experimenting, and turning ideas into practical solutions.
What we offer you
Flexible working hours that fit around your studies.
A flexible hourly contract, typically ranging from 4 to 16 hours per week depending on project needs.
Salary of €17,50 gross per hour.
