Lab Processing Plant Technician

Join us in building the future of sustainable construction as our new Lab Technician.

Full-time · everox Rotterdam

At everox, we are turning concrete waste into the building materials of the future. As we scale our breakthrough technology from successful pilot projects to industrial operations, we are looking for a hands-on Lab Processing Plant Technician to help transform waste concrete into low-carbon construction materials.

Based in Rotterdam and powered by a diverse international team, everox is accelerating the transition to a more circular and sustainable construction industry.

About the job

As our Lab Processing Plant Technician, you will operate our lab processing plant, where waste concrete is crushed, milled, sieved and carbonated into next-generation building materials. From running processing campaigns and supporting R&D to generating customer samples and tracking process data, you will play a key role in bringing innovative technologies from concept to reality.

No two days are the same at everox. One day you will be running a milling campaign, the next you will be producing customer samples, analysing process data or helping improve a carbonation process.

What you will do

You will be at the heart of our material development process, turning waste concrete into the next generation of low-carbon building materials.

In this role, you will:

  • Operate and optimize our lab processing plant, including crushing, sieving, milling and carbonation equipment.

  • Produce material batches for R&D projects, product development and customer trials.

  • Run carbonation campaigns and monitor key process parameters to ensure high-quality results.

  • Transform process data into clear insights that help improve performance and scale our technology.

  • Maintain equipment, troubleshoot issues and keep operations running smoothly.

  • Support testing and sample preparation across our laboratory activities.

  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows, processes and safety standards.

  • Collaborate closely with engineers, researchers and lab colleagues to bring innovative technologies to life.

About you

You're someone who likes to make things happen. You enjoy working hands-on with equipment and materials, while also having the curiosity to understand the data behind the process.

You bring:

  • An MBO-4 or BSc degree in Process Technology, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Civil Engineering or a related field.

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in a laboratory, pilot plant or production environment.

  • Confidence working with mechanical operating equipment and industrial processes such as crushers, mills and sieves.

  • Solid Excel skills to be able to clean, analyze and visualize data.

  • A practical, organised and safety-first mindset.

  • The flexibility to thrive in a fast-growing scale-up environment.

What we offer

  • Salary based on experience and qualifications (€42,000-€45,000 gross per year, including holiday allowance).

  • Employee ownership through our ESOP.

  • 27 days of annual holiday leave.

  • The chance to help build a company that's redefining how the construction industry uses and values waste materials.

  • A role with real ownership, responsibility, and visibility from day one.

  • Direct collaboration with scientists, engineers, and innovators developing the next generation of low-carbon construction materials.

  • Plenty of opportunities to learn, grow, and develop your technical expertise.

Why join us?

Join our diverse team committed to sustainability, making a significant impact on CO₂ reduction.

Our flat hierarchy empowers your growth and provides space to unleash your potential. We are looking for committed people and show our commitment to the team in return with employee ownership (ESOP) opportunities.

Enjoy flexible work at our inspiring office with panoramic views of the Port of Rotterdam, combined with travel to meet partners and clients.
